More Toddler Games

This girl loves her games!  And maybe because the teacher in Mom loves them too:)  This is a game that I  have been waiting to try with her for a while, but we had to wait until spring when the stores started to carry pool noodles again.  She is stringing cut up circles of a pool noodle on a jump rope.  I love this game because it leaves just enough pool noodle left over for summer use, and a jump rope is still usable when the kids outgrow this game.  This stubborn little bug needs a challenge to keep her from buzzing around!

 

This was our 1st attempt at fingerpainting.  It was not a success....as two seconds after this photo, that finger dipped in yellow paint went straight to her mouth!  Hahahahha!  I guess I should have thought this through a little better since she is sitting in her booster at the table, and probably was confused.  This kid likes to taste test everything.  "Icky or Yum-Me?"  So I am on the hunt for an edible finger paint recipe.

Good old letters from the $ store.  I think these are her favorites...and she says, "ABC" the whole time.  Her favorite activity {the little domestic diva} is placing each one of them one by one back into their bag, taking them back out one by one, and over and over!

Feeding "Baby"

Laken is really into helping with anything....cleaning up, sweeping, opening doors, and especially helping with her brother:)  When she wakes up the first thing she asks is, "Baby?" with a huge questioning nod.  I always tell her what he is doing whether it be still sleeping or playing....and then she is just fine.  She likes to pull off his socks, and tries to put them back on.  She likes to hold in his pacifier.  She also would love to feed him.  I have never let her.   But your know how Grandparents let their grandkids do whatever they want:)  I came around the corner and found this while Grandpa Charlie and Grandma Leslie were watching the kids.  She was doing a great job!  And River adores her and he was very patient with her!  Laken was very proud of herself!

Stargirl

Laken is SO funny.  Here she is being silly with a star hairband in the morning.  She is pretending they are sunglasses and making silly faces;)  She points out stars all of the time, and says "Sar"!  She likes to wear her star hairband and star pants together.  I personally think they are both not so cute and they remind me of the 80's :).  But she loves them and showing people her "sars," and that makes them adorable to me too!

The River Monster

The River Monster after his bath ~ precious at 7 1/2 months old.

Our little guy loves his baths.  He knows just when it is time each night and let's us know.  In our rental we have a washtub in the mudroom and this is where he takes most of his baths....it's the perfect size.  He gets so excited while we watch it fill up with water, kicking his feet and blowing raspberries with gusto!

Savonni's Elmo Party

Savonni turned 2!  Isn't she just precious in her elmo dress and hair piece.  She has been talking about "ma emo partay" for weeks leading up to the big day.  She is one of Laken's besties, and my good friend Amanda and I were pregnant with the girls at the same time.

Capturing pictures of toddlers partying together & looking at the camera is impossible.....but here are the pictures of all of them monkeying around:)

7 Month Bloopers

7 Month Stats

* I am 20 pounds, 12 ounces

* I wear 12 month clothing and am really tall!

* I can wear my sisters diapers when mom is in a pinch;)

* I have decided that I only like to sleep with my parents, and sneak into their bed around midnight every single night!  It all started when I was sick.  I am all better now but discovered what I was missing.

*  My neck and sides are very ticklish.

* My sissy likes to pull off my socks, I just like that she is playing with me and think that it is funny.

* I hate my carseat, green beans, and wind blowing.

* I can let out a scream that is ear piercing, mostly because I want to be right with my family at all times.

* I am a cuddle bug and love to be rocked close.

* My hair is really growing, mostly on top.

* I love to listen to music, and watch my family play with musical instruments. I like to suck on and bite the ones they give me:)

* I am very squirmy and it is getting harder to change my diaper, and feed me....I am so busy!

* I have a wide smile, and flirty eyes.....women fall in love with me wherever I go.

* I really like Carrie from the gym daycare.  She says I am her favorite....and she holds me the whole time I am there.  On the days we go to Adcope....I smell like her perfume;)

* I make a lot of sounds now....lots of noises that start with "Dad"!
